Hi my name is Janita Frost I’m a first grade teacher at Brennan-Rogers. I was born and raised in New Haven, Ct. I started my teaching journey as a daycare provider (Hugs N Giggles Daycare) where I owned and operated a licensed daycare for infants and toddlers. I began teaching at Brennan-Rogers formally known as Katherine Brennan as a special education paraprofessional in 1998. Here is where I learned all children have the capability of learning in spite of a disability. While teaching as a paraprofessional I went to school part-time and received my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood studies at Gateway Community College. Then attended Southern Connecticut State University where I graduated as an honor student in 2009 with my Bachelor’s of Science in Education and Bachelor’s of Art in Liberal studies. My passion is to teach young learners the importance of getting a good education and becoming who and what they want to be in life in spite of any obstacle placed in their way.
I am married and we have 4 wonderful children. Mr. Frost is a New Haven Firefighter; he comes to visit often and helps out in our classroom. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, island destination vacations, reading, sitting on my deck enjoying nature from afar and going shopping in the mall, checking out what’s new at the MAC counter.
