Welcome to first grade in room 61! My name is Mrs. Frost and I am your child's teacher for the 2013 - 2014 school year. First grade is an exciting time as children learn new things. You will be amazed at just how much you child will grow this year. Students learn to read, write stories, add subtract and so much more! I hope to make your child's first grade year fun, exciting and I hope to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child's years of education.
Because so much learning happens in first grade, it is extremely important to keep in mind we applaud and build on small successes. Each child will progress at his/her own pace and acquire skills' as they are developmentally ready. Maintaining each child's self-esteem and building a secure foundation for future growth will always remain a priority.
